Campus Örebro
Campus info
Örebro is a well-cohesive campus where buildings for research, teaching, libraries and physical activity interact. When the first sod was cut in 1969, it was the School of Sport and Health Sciences that saw the light of day, something that has contributed to an unusually active student life among the students in Örebro. Örebro University expanded significantly during the 1990s when housing and service shops were built directly adjacent to the university, which means that the campus character has increased further.

The area and properties
Örebro University is situated in a cohesive campus area with stimulating environments and facilities for teaching and research across most subject areas. The campus includes a university library, cafés, restaurants, a gym, and housing, creating a vibrant and dynamic educational environment.
The university is also home to our initiative, Örebro Campus Lab, which involves technical and physical development to create a more sustainable and attractive campus and to contribute to more efficient resource use. This includes developing and adapting the environment to new technology, new pedagogical methods, and the evolving needs of those on campus. The initiative aims to develop a cutting-edge educational and research environment that is both digital and sustainable. It seeks to create an environment that is highly attractive to students, researchers, and teachers at Örebro University, as well as to external partners.
